I am indebted to Gary Beaumier, Jane Napoliatano, Clare Imholtz and Michael Newell for their gentle guidance and tolerant forbearance as I rain words down on them. I have been greatly nourished by my poetry group. Charles deGravelles, John Tarlton, Carolyn Ricapito, Ben & Eileen Shieber, Andy King, Marilyn Shapley, Cynthia Toups, Jeanne George, Richard Kilbourne and Randolph Thomas have given me countless insights over the course of many years.
